This design is made for those of us who do not want to add in additional bulk heads to an already difficult to maneuver and fragile item.
The removable cap fits snugly and there is no risk of frogs knocking it or pushing it off. The tube can easily fit up to a 1/2" hose for fast drainage. This design is best installed in the beginning of a build but can be installed later as well. The flange at the base is designed to sit underneath your drainage layer for extra security and stability, or could be easily attached to the bottom of your tank with silicone.
